I felt like writing tonight; I even considered writing on the topic of consent and responsibility, children and elderly, ... I wound up reading Slashdot instead, and conveniently found an outlet for my urges. I guess my comments there are a sort of preview of what I expect to write more formally later here, unless someone makes a convincing counter-argument.
