Description :: Naomi Klein, AlterNet, September 3, 2003
An essay on the effect of the war on terror on a global scale: the mis-use of an ideology in order to repress dissent of even non-violent sorts. This relates to the idea that, in the proper context, most anything can seem to be "terrorism" worthy of violent response. Now if we just combine this with the whole "preemptive war" idea, we've got a really neat weapon: "they were -thinking- about dissenting!" Yeah, that should keep 'em quiet for a while.
